(I1a1) Resolution 25-19 to Establish a Millage Rate for Purposes of Computing Ad Valorem Taxes on Property in Columbia County, Georgia for Calendar Year 2025: Approve: Yay 5, No 0
Since the County is going back to the rollback rate there is no need for millage hearings. The total rollback rate is 4.814. The school board also voted to go back to the rollback rate of 16.234. Some people will have different valuations on their home so their personal tax situation will be different depending on their home values.

(I1b1) Ordinance 25-05 Amending Chapter 78, Taxes, Article V, Occupational Tax and Licenses, Section 149 When Tax Due and Payable - First Reading. Approve: Yay 5, No 0
Changing the application. Right now there’s a 30-day wait after the application for the occupation tax due. This changes it so that the tax due at the time of the application.
(I1b2) Ordinance Number 25-06 Amending Chapter 34, Environment Article I, Grading Section 34-1 Major Site Grading. First Reading. Approve: Yay 5, No 0
Changes from a 50ft buffer to 25ft. Modifies the requirements for 6-1 slopes across multiple properties. Require storm water drainage built-in and requires the HOA to maintain.
(I1b3) Resolution 25-21 Adopting the Fee Schedule for Alcoholic Beverage Licenses. First Reading. Approve: Yay 5, No 0
Clarifies the retail footprint. Changes the application fee to $25. Removes some of the requirements for temporary licenses.
(I1b4) Resolution 25-22 Planning Services Fee Schedule Revision - First Reading. Approve: Yay 5, No 0
Increase encroachment agreement fee from $55 to $80 due to a change in State law. File through the County with verification system and it will go straight through the court.
(H2e) Amendment #4 to Contract# 2020-1743 with Ceres Environmental Services Inc. for Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWPP) Services. Approve: Yay 5, No 0
There are different prices depending on if it’s from land or water. $164 for land. $124 for water. There is enough money to cover it in the CS Grant.
