(I1a1) Resolution 25-19 to Establish a Millage Rate for Purposes of Computing Ad Valorem Taxes on Property in Columbia County, Georgia for Calendar Year 2025: Approve: Yay 5, No 0
Since the County is going back to the rollback rate there is no need for millage hearings. The total rollback rate is 4.814. The school board also voted to go back to the rollback rate of 16.234. Some people will have different valuations on their home so their personal tax situation will be different depending on their home values.

Changing the application. Right now there’s a 30-day wait after the application for the occupation tax due. This changes it so that the tax due at the time of the application.

Changes from a 50ft buffer to 25ft. Modifies the requirements for 6-1 slopes across multiple properties. Require storm water drainage built-in and requires the HOA to maintain.

Clarifies the retail footprint. Changes the application fee to $25. Removes some of the requirements for temporary licenses.
