Georgia Literacy Academy
10 courses, 29 hours
Can use planning time but many teachers will have to use their personal time.
Board member asked if we could implement some sort of “comp time” but that’s not feasible for this because the classroom would still need to be staffed with a sub.
Later in the meeting - board approved (5 yay, 0 no) to give a one-time $300 stipend to partially compensate for the extra time spent on this class.
Dr. Bosch believes other districts are giving $900 stipend but the superintendent only asked for $300.

26 Regional Championships
2 High Schools received state sportsmanship awards
81 students received sports scholarships
177 honor graduates (seniors) were also athletes.
Game Times
He went through this kind of fast but the bottom line is, game times are based on rules set by the GHSA.
GHSA also have rules about safety protocols based on the wet bulb temps which are supposed to be checked regularly during games and practices.
Senior passes (for age 65 and up) increased from 325 to 551. This is popular with area senior citizens.
